Fortitude Valley
ENGEO Australia is growing, our team is humming, and we’re gearing up for an exciting rest of the year and beyond! We have stacks of interesting work in the pipeline, and we’re looking for an eager geologist or geotechnical engineer to help keep things moving.
The job.
In this role, you will support the delivery of a wide range of geotechnical and engineering geology projects across Queensland. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and geologists, building your technical skills through site work, reporting, and project support. You'll work with our excellent team as well as clients & contractors, across a bunch of interesting ground engineering challenges.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the planning and delivery of site investigations
- Assisting with geotechnical assessments, logging, and technical reporting
- Helping deliver projects from fieldwork through to reporting & analysis
- Learning how projects are scoped, programmed, and budgeted
- Working collaboratively with internal team members, as well as clients, contractors, and other consultants
- Building your capability across fieldwork, analysis, problem-solving, and technical communication
Who are you?
We’re looking for someone early in their career who is keen to learn and enjoys being out in the field - working with contractors & drillers but also carrying out manual site investigations.
You could be an engineering geologist or a geotechnical engineer, but you’ll definitely be proactive, curious, and keen to get stuck in.
We are looking for someone with:
- 1-4 years’ relevant experience
- A degree in engineering geology, earth science, civil engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative approach and a curious mindset
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to get stuck in
- An interest in engineering and/or project management
- The drive to grow in your career
And ENGEO.
ENGEO is an award-winning, employee-owned consulting firm providing geotechnical, geological, environmental, and ground/surface water services.
We proudly put our people first. We believe outstanding outcomes come from a happy, supported team – not the other way around! We keep hierarchy light and give you the tools you need to succeed. You’ll enjoy a flat structure, minimal bureaucracy, and autonomy paired with strong senior & principal support.
At ENGEO, you’ll work on challenging projects which will stretch your technical abilities, have access to internal and external training, and experience career growth to new heights. We value integrity, collaboration, and bringing positive energy to everything we do. Our culture is our strategy: we hire for potential and our values - humble, hungry, and smart.
What's in it for you?
ENGEO is proud to offer competitive remuneration reflecting your experience, along with a strong package of benefits:
- A fantastic employee share ownership scheme – accrue shares annually from year one onwards!
- Annual discretionary bonus
- Wellbeing allowance
- Health insurance
- Birthday leave
- Flexible working arrangements
- Great learning, training, and development opportunities
