As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll play an important role in helping residents feel safe, respected and supported every day. From delivering person-centred care to working closely with nurses and care teams, you'll contribute to positive health outcomes and a welcoming environment where people can live with dignity and confidence.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting residents with daily care needs to promote comfort, wellbeing and quality of life.
- Working collaboratively with nurses and colleagues to deliver safe, consistent and responsive care.
- Observing and communicating changes in residents' wellbeing to support timely care decisions.
- Helping maintain a clean, safe and supportive environment that enables residents to thrive.
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who leads with compassion, values dignity and takes pride in making a genuine difference in people's lives. You build trust through respectful interactions, communicate clearly with those around you and understand the importance of working as part of a team. At the end of the day, you'll feel proud knowing your care and support have helped residents live comfortably, safely and with greater independence.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Certificate III in a relevant care qualification, or current nursing studies that meet role requirements.
- Ability to deliver safe, person-centred care under the guidance of qualified nursing professionals.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to quality and safety.
- A proactive approach to learning, professional growth and continuous improvement.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in aged care and/or additional training in areas such as dementia care, infection prevention or safe manual handling.
Above all, you'll bring Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage to every interaction,
helping create positive experiences for residents, families and colleagues.
