The essential requirements for this role are;

- A working knowledge of or demonstrated ability to quickly learn all aspects of pre-analytical specimen processing.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work conscientiously and accurately with minimal local supervision.
- Demonstrated data entry skills and in the use of Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively use or quickly acquire the ability to use the laboratory information system (Auslab).
- Work in a manner displaying integrity; complying with ethical and behavioural standards, respecting patient confidentiality and the importance of patient results.

- In this role, you will be required to display the following leadership behaviours Leadership competencies for Queensland relevant to the role.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills to enable effective interaction within
- a work group and between clients. Proven ability to work as a team member to achieve organisational goals.
