Relationships Australia Tasmania (RA Tas) is a dynamic not for profit organisation with a leading reputation in the Tasmanian community for providing high quality services to Tasmanians right across the state, to support their relationships.
RA Tas is an independently structured and governed in its own right in Tasmania and is part of a Federation of like organisations around the country.
The Board of RA Tas are highly experienced, qualified and committed members of the Tasmanian community who volunteer their time and insight to support this organisation and its mission.
We are currently seeking to fill multiple positions on our skills-based Board and are particularly interested in hearing from experienced Board Members with robust skills and expertise in finance, accounting and/or audit or risk and compliance. It is anticipated that the successful candidate would also fill a role on our Finance, Audit and Risk Sub-Committee.
Our Board values and prioritises diversity, and achieving diversity will be a key element of our selection process. There may be other vacancies in the future and this process may also be used to identify suitable people for those vacancies.

The role requires approximately ten hours per month. This includes Board and Committee meetings, time to read and consider reports, and engaging with the organisation. Board meetings occur outside of normal work hours, but Committees are scheduled by agreement within normal working hours.
From time-to-time Directors will be required to make themselves available to respond to out of session business as required. The Board generally meets six to eight times per year face to face. Directors are also expected to contribute to at least one sub-committee.
While the position is voluntary, we provide;
- reimbursement of all reasonable costs directly incurred as a Board Member
- all appropriate insurances
