The position is full time and fixed term (parental leave replacement).

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic educator who is able to demonstrate a passion for engaging and challenging their students and will be able to work collaboratively with other professionals in the learning area.

Key responsibilities:

As a Mathematics Teacher at St Aloysius College, you will:

- Teach Mathematics across a range of year levels, according to your experience and qualifications.

- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater for diverse learning needs.

- Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform teaching practice.

- Establish positive and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.

- Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative planning within the Mathematics Learning Area.

- Support students to develop robust mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills and confidence.

- Participate actively in the broader life of the school and contribute to its Catholic identity and mission.

- Maintain high standards of student wellbeing, behaviour and learning.

- Holds appropriate teaching qualifications and registration with VIT.

- Has a strong knowledge of the Victorian Mathematics curriculum and contemporary teaching practices.

- Demonstrates excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

- Works collaboratively as part of a professional learning community.
