The Administration Referral Officer is responsible for the coordination and processing of outpatient referrals, ensuring accurate maintenance of electronic patient records, and effective management of clinic scheduling and waitlists. The role provides high-quality administrative and customer service support to patients, clinical staff, and external stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with organisational policies, clinical governance standards, and Queensland Health procedures.

About your role:
- Assist all staff in the work area and develop a highly compatible and supportive working team, whilst demonstrating effective communication skills, empathy, and understanding, in a patient focused environment.
- Managing of Outreach referral's/follow-up bookings when triaged, assisting with queries relating to the referrals/upcoming clinics.
- Liaise with other units regarding delivery and collection of patient details, and other clinical documentation in preparation for outpatient services.
- Processing referrals and managing appointment scheduling in collaboration with clinical staff to ensure compliance within clinical guidelines and policy framework for Specialist outpatients' clinics.
