Join the Children's Inpatient Unit at Logan Hospital and provide compassionate, evidence-based care to children and families while growing your paediatric nursing skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Your new role:
Join the Children's Inpatient Unit at Logan Hospital and provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to children and young people aged 0–16 years. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to positive outcomes for children and their families while continuing to develop your clinical knowledge and paediatric nursing skills.
- Deliver holistic, person-centred nursing care across a range of paediatric medical and surgical presentations.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in partnership with children, families and the broader healthcare team.
- Use your clinical judgement, critical thinking and time management skills to prioritise care and respond to changing clinical needs.
- Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, education and a positive team culture within the unit.
About you:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about caring for children and families and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality and compassionate care. You will bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a commitment to ongoing learning and the ability to work confidently in a agile paediatric environment.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Demonstrated clinical nursing skills, sound clinical judgement and a commitment to person-centred care.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage positively with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice, quality improvement and lifelong learning.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
