Lead specialist maternity care as a Clinical Midwife Consultant in Maternal Fetal Medicine

Join Logan Hospital in Meadowbrook as a Permanent Full-time Clinical Midwife Consultant, providing expert leadership and advanced, woman-centred care within the specialist Maternal Fetal Medicine service supporting women and families experiencing complex pregnancies.

Your new role:

Join Logan Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM), providing specialist care and coordination for complex pregnancies. Bring your clinical expertise, leadership and commitment to contemporary, woman-centred care. In this role, you will:

- Provide expert clinical leadership and advanced midwifery care across Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Lead and support contemporary, evidence-based models of care that promote informed decision-making and the best possible outcomes for women and babies.
- Provide clinical support, direction and mentorship to midwives and other members of the healthcare team in complex situations.
- Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, education, research and service development initiatives.
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to strengthen care coordination, consultation and referral pathways.
- Contribute to a positive practice environment that supports professional development, learning and midwives working to their full scope of practice.

About you:

We're looking for an experienced midwife who combines advanced clinical knowledge with strong leadership, collaboration and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for women, babies and families. You'll bring:

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Midwife and a relevant tertiary qualification.




- Advanced clinical and problem-solving skills within midwifery practice.
- Demonstrated experience in evidence-based practice, quality improvement and clinical governance.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- The ability to lead, mentor and develop others while supporting education, research and skilled growth.
- A proactive approach to innovation, service improvement and translating evidence into practice.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification, or evidence of enrolment in postgraduate study, is highly desirable.
