What you'll do
As the Senior Project Officer, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of key healthcare initiatives by applying your understanding of healthcare systems, workflows and operational practices. You will build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Health, Hospital and Health Services, and suppliers, to support project objectives and successful outcomes. The role involves coordinating and delivering training programs, engagement activities and hospital site visits, as well as preparing high-quality briefings, reports, submissions, presentations and other project documentation. You will utilise a range of information systems to support project delivery and provide operational guidance and training to users where required. Working collaboratively within the System Performance Branch, you will contribute to a positive team environment, uphold Queensland Health's values, and support the delivery of branch priorities and organisational objectives.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Detailed knowledge, or ability to acquire knowledge, of health services, medical terminology, patient flow management, healthcare delivery practices and data analysis.
- Ability to support projects through all phases of the project life cycle, applying project management and change management methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, delivering and evaluating training and stakeholder engagement initiatives/activities to a broad range of healthcare roles.
- Ability to think strategically, manage competing priorities and work resourcefully to identify and resolve problems with minimal guidance from management.
- Ability to analyse and interpret information from numerous sources,
with skill in presenting insights clearly using tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
