Use your advanced clinical knowledge to play a key role in coordinating and optimising the use of clinical information systems across CHQ, working collaboratively with the CHQ Health Informatics team to support training, change, and engagement activities that enable the effective and sustainable adoption of clinical information systems.

About the Team

Designs and delivers training for clinical systems, making sure it fits with how healthcare is delivered and based on the best practices. Create training plans, schedules, and reports.

About the Role

Your contribution will include:

Domain 1: Direct comprehensive care or provision of direct care

- Accountable for Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and own standards, actions and the outcomes of own nursing practice, professional advice given and for activities delegated.
- Demonstrate advanced paediatric nursing knowledge, experience, clinical skills and professional leadership in a Health Informatics team.

Domain 2: Support of Systems

- Provide advanced nursing practice advice, skills and knowledge to the CHQ clinical systems to assist with the safe usage and adoption of the clinical systems relevant to CHQ ward or department.
- Participate in developing and evaluating standardised processes specific to the use of the clinical information systems that are used within CHQ (e.g. ieMR, ESM, Firstnet, Surginet and others as determined), ensuring adherence to relevant practice standards and patient safety. In collaboration with the nurse manager and nursing director of CHQ Health Informatics team.

Domain 3: Education

- Act as a clinical and educational resource within the Health Informatics team based on knowledge, skills and experience to inform evidence-based practice.
- Responsible for updating and managing own contemporary nursing specialist knowledge, competence and capability.

Domain 4: Research

- Integrate advanced theoretical knowledge,



evidence from a range of sources and own experience to devise and achieve agreed care outcomes for patients/residents/clients in line with organisational priorities.
- Participate in developing and undertaking quality initiatives, clinical audits, clinical trials and research.

Domain 5: Professional Leadership

- Act as a clinical leader, with integrity, transparency and accountability.
- Provide clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice.
