Your new role:

As Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide advanced nursing and operational leadership across the Central Referral Hub (CRH) and General Practice Liaison Officer (GPLO) teams, driving high-quality, patient-centred care and effective service delivery. You will lead a multidisciplinary workforce while managing clinical, human, financial and material resources to achieve best-practice outcomes. You will:

- Provide advanced clinical and operational leadership across the Central Referral Hub and GPLO services, supporting contemporary nursing practice, patient-centred care and service performance.
- Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary workforce, fostering team cohesion, capability, engagement and a positive practice environment.
- Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, innovation and service development, ensuring care and referral processes align with relevant standards, evidence and organisational priorities.
- Oversee human, financial and material resources, including workforce planning, rostering, performance development, budget management and efficient allocation of resources.

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring nursing leader who can combine advanced clinical expertise with strong operational and people-management capabilities. To be successful, you are:

- A Registered Nurse with demonstrated advanced clinical and leadership experience, supported by a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification; relevant postgraduate study is highly desirable.
- Very knowledgable and experienced in outpatient services, particularly referral management, stakeholder engagement and supporting effective access to care.
- Demonstrably capable in leading teams, managing resources and budgets, and using transformational leadership to build workforce capacity, capability and engagement.




- An innovative and collaborative leader with strong communication, negotiation and change-management skills, committed to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and exceptional patient outcomes.

Unit Profile

The Central Referral Hub (CRH) receives, processes and distributes external referrals for MSH Outpatient services which are offered at five Metro South Health Hospital facilities and both satellite health centres. The CRH is a multidisciplinary team comprising of administration officers, registered nurses, clinical nurses, physiotherapy, and social workers.
