Our engineers and qualified tradespeople deliver structural steel fabrication, mechanical installation and maintenance and shutdown support for industrial, commercial and government clients. We’re a diverse, collaborative team with strong systems and processes, and we’re looking for an Accountant who enjoys working closely with the people delivering the projects behind the numbers.

Key responsibilities

We are seeking an Accountant to join the business in a full-time permanent role who can take ownership of accurate financial reporting and help our leaders make informed decisions.

- Prepare monthly accounts, profit and loss reports, cash flow forecasts and financial reports for management and the board.
- Coordinate budgets and forecasts, and analyze income, costs and margins by client and job to help the engineering team understand financial performance.
- Work with managers to establish meaningful financial goals and KPIs, and provide practical advice on costs, pricing, cash flow and business decisions.
- Oversee financial compliance,



including BAS and tax obligations, and coordinate with external tax advisers and auditors where specialist advice or review is required.
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures and controls that safeguard the business and support sound record keeping.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including accountants, auditors, factoring providers, banks, lenders and the ATO.
- Support the Accounts Officer by reviewing the quality of financial information produced through day-to-day processing.

About you

- Post-graduate qualification in Accounting.
- Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements, monthly management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with a track record of working successfully a variety of stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach to working with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to monitor relevant government policy, economic conditions and regulatory changes, and advise management on their potential impact on financial planning.
