What we’re looking for

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in a tax environment who have had exposure to one or more of the following:

Corporate tax and income tax compliance
Large private groups, family groups or corporate structures
Trusts, Division 7A and CGT matters
Tax advisory projects and tax technical research
Restructures, transactions or corporate tax projects
ATO reviews, audits, objections or other tax authority interactions.
Applying tax legislation to client fact patterns and documenting tax positions

This role is best suited to candidates building a career in tax advisory.

It is not primarily focused on bookkeeping, payroll, financial statement preparation, BAS processing or broader accounting compliance activities.

What will your typical day look like?

Working on complex domestic, corporate and international tax transactions, you will assist the Partners with support from the directors and managers, with the day-to-day income tax affairs of a broad range of clients. Expect every day to be different – assist a client with their complex income tax compliance on one day and work on complex tax advice on another. Our Private Tax team is focused on providing expert tax advice and services to an array of businesses. Working on corporate and international tax transactions, M&A; and restructures you will be exposed to the day-to-day tax affairs of some of Australia’s most complicated entities.

For an Analyst, we’re looking for someone with:
Completed or close to complete CA qualifications
Prior experience in a tax, corporate tax or private tax environment

Strong analytical and research skills, with an interest in developing tax technical capability

Strong collaborative skills and a dedicated work ethic
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine interest in developing a career in tax
A self-starter attitude with an ability to drive results.
