Senior WHS Project Advisor, WA

Location: Perth

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior WHS Project Advisor to partner directly with our project teams and field ecologists, helping ensure safe and successful delivery of environmental projects across Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria.

You’ll spend time engaging with ecologists and environmental professionals, supporting remote and regional projects, participating in mobilisations, visiting client sites and helping teams identify and manage risks in dynamic field environments. From flora and fauna surveys in remote locations through to major infrastructure and resource sector projects, you’ll provide practical advice that enables our people to work safely while delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

Reporting to the Safety, Quality and Integrated Systems Lead, you’ll work closely with project managers, technical specialists and clients to strengthen safety culture, support compliance, develop practical safety solutions and contribute directly to project success across a diverse portfolio of repeat and long term client projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead detailed project risk assessments, identify hazards and work with project teams to implement practical controls for health, safety, environment and quality risks




- Develop and continuously improve practical WHS and quality strategies, policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Deliver engaging training that builds capability, strengthens safety culture and supports compliance across the business and its projects
- Prepare and maintain project specific safety management plans, contribute to mobilisation meetings, and attend client and project sites when required
- Conduct audits and site inspections, verify compliance with relevant standards and requirements, and support teams to close out corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and lessons learned, and drive timely actions and reporting to prevent recurrence
- Provide trusted, practical advice to project teams and clients, helping them strengthen systems and drive continuous improvement
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, subcontractors and regulators to promote proactive WHS and quality management
- Maintain accurate WHS and quality records, prepare clear reports, and communicate insights and outcomes to relevant stakeholders

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior WHS Projects Advisor who combines strong technical capability with a practical, collaborative approach to safety and quality. You will bring:

- A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
- At least five years’ experience in a comparable, hands-on WHS role, ideally within consulting, environmental services or another project-based industry
- A strong understanding of national WHS regulations, standards and best practices
- Experience improving WHS and quality management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001, together with demonstrated ability to develop explicit, practical policies and procedures
- Experience working within consulting or project delivery teams and providing practical WHS and compliance advice across the project lifecycle
- A strong understanding of compliance and accompanying systems to monitor and measure safety outcomes
- An ability to complete internal auditing and demonstrate risk mitigation techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess WHS and quality issues and develop practical, effective solutions
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure without compromising on safety
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) & Adobe Acrobat
- A Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator & Mental Health First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to travel interstate and attend client and project sites across Western Australia
- A current drivers’ licence
