The Coogee Boathouse Eats & Sips – Port Coogee, WA

The Coogee Boathouse Eats & Sips is looking for an experienced Full-Time Food & Beverage Attendant to join our front-of-house team.

Located on the Port Coogee Marina, The Coogee Boathouse is a busy waterfront tavern with a strong local following. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, works well in a rapid-paced environment and is confident across both bar and general front-of-house duties.

This is a permanent full-time position for someone looking for consistent hours, a solid team environment and a long-term role within an established hospitality group.

About the Role

This is an all-round front-of-house position covering both bar and tavern service.

The Coogee Boathouse operates primarily through counter ordering rather than traditional table service, so the role requires someone who is confident dealing directly with customers, processing orders efficiently and keeping service moving during busy periods.

Your duties will include:

- Taking food and beverage orders at the counter
- Operating the POS and processing customer payments
- Preparing and serving beer, wine, spirits and cocktails
- Pouring tap beer and maintaining correct bar presentation
- Food running and delivering meals to customer tables
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue
- Restocking fridges, bars and service areas
- Assisting with bar preparation and general service setup
- Opening and closing duties
- Providing customers with information about menu items, drinks and weekly specials
- Assisting with functions,



events and busy weekend services
- Working closely with kitchen, bar and management during service
- Helping wherever required to keep the venue running efficiently

What We're Looking For

You will need:

- Minimum two years' experience in a similar food and beverage, bar or front-of-house position
- Experience working in a busy tavern, pub, bar or high-volume hospitality venue
- Confidence working behind a busy bar
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience with POS systems and counter ordering
- Good food, beer, wine and general beverage knowledge
- The ability to work quickly without compromising customer service
- Good organisation and awareness during busy services
- Reliability and strong personal presentation
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Current RSA or ability to obtain the required certification

You must be available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Hours & Employment

This is a permanent full-time position with consistent full-time hours across the venue’s trading week.





The position is paid in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award – Level 2 Food & Beverage Attendant, with all applicable weekend, evening, public holiday and other penalty rates and entitlements paid in accordance with the Award.

We cater to a broad mix of locals and visitors throughout the week, from casual lunches and afternoon drinks through to busy dinners, weekends, functions and events.

It’s a high-energy venue when we're busy, so we're looking for someone who enjoys that environment, can keep pace and understands the importance of working together as a team.
