Your new role
As Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead the delivery of structural engineering projects across the mining, rail, and infrastructure sectors. You will provide technical leadership, manage client relationships, oversee project delivery, and ensure the highest standards of engineering quality and safety are maintained.Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading structural design, assessment, and remediation projects
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Undertaking structural inspections, condition assessments, and asset management studies
- Reviewing and approving engineering designs and documentation
- Contributing to business development and identifying current project opportunities




- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and innovative engineering solutions

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will possess:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status (CPEng)
- RPEQ registration or eligibility to obtain registration
- Extensive experience delivering structural engineering projects within the mining, rail, infrastructure, ports, or industrial sectors
- Strong technical expertise in structural steel and reinforced concrete design
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
- Proven client management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and relevant industry codes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive approach to leadership, project delivery, and mentoring junior engineers
