Hays is currently partnering with a well-established and growing business in the industrial services sector to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional seeking a flexible part-time position within a supportive team environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Responsibilities will include:
Accounts payable processing, invoice entry and expense managementBank and credit card reconciliationsAssisting with accounts receivable as requiredProcessing journals and maintaining accurate financial recordsManaging filing, archiving and financial documentationOrdering office stationery and staff amenitiesResponding to incoming calls and providing administrative supportSupporting the finance team during periods of leaveGeneral finance and office administration duties as required

What you'll need to succeed





- Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or similar role

- Experience using Xero accounting software

- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent organisational and time management skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
