Your new companyThis government department is seeking an experienced Community Engagement Officer to support a busy period of community and stakeholder engagement.
Your new roleYou will work closely with community members and stakeholders, building relationships, coordinating meetings and supporting clear communication around a range of initiatives.
This is a practical, people-focused role requiring someone comfortable engaging with individuals who hold different views and perspectives. You will represent the department professionally, listen to community concerns and help ensure engagement is respectful, clear and well managed.
The role involves regular travel, with a vehicle available for work-related requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in community or stakeholder engagement ideally in a government setting
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Confidence working with diverse stakeholder groups
- Ability to manage sensitive or challenging conversations professionally
- Strong organisation and meeting coordination skills
- Current driver's licence
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Availability to commence and commit for the duration of the contract
