Your new roleAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join the team at our Newlands Operations. Reporting to the Queensland IT Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support and expert advice across a range of standard software products and installed infrastructure.
What you'll need to succeedYou will apply your technical expertise and a strong methodical approach to resolve system issues and achieve maximum uptime. You will work with the wider IT&S; team to manage third-party service providers, vendors and business users to deliver effective and efficient IT&S; services, and at times may act as the technical lead for site-based IT projects. You will actively support the IT&S; team who has carriage over an on-site IT&S; budget and allocation of IT&S; resources.




Qualifications and Experience:Your industry qualifications (CCNA/MCSA/MCSE) are desirable but not essential, and/or considerable experience in a similar role, coupled with your ability to multitask and problem solve ensure you are a positive fit for this role.
You will have a sound knowledge of Microsoft client and server technologies, virtualisation, Active Directory Administration, TCP/IP, routing protocols and general networking fundamentals. Knowledge of PABX systems, PC hardware, fibre optic and copper cabling and wireless technologies is also desirable.
