Your new role
As an APS5 Finance Business Partner - Financial Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders to provide financial insights, reporting and analysis that support business outcomes. You will play an important role in budgeting, forecasting and financial management activities while contributing to continuous improvement across finance operations.
Key responsibilities include:

- Monitoring and analysing financial data, trends and variances
- Preparing financial reports, forecasts and reconciliations
- Supporting budget development and reforecasting activities
- Providing financial advice and partnering with internal stakeholders
- Interpreting and applying relevant financial legislation and frameworks
- Extracting, analysing and reporting on financial information from systems
- Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes, including journals and accruals
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives, tools and templates
- Drafting briefing papers, budget submissions and correspondence

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:





- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting or reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly
- Experience working with financial systems and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of Australian Government financial frameworks or transferable public sector finance experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline will be highly regarded
