Your Recent RoleAn immediate opportunity exists for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to support the CHPP Project Manager during the early works phase of a large-scale greenfield coal mining project.In this role, you will assist with the completion of design activities, evaluation of engineering options, coordination of technical stakeholders and development of mechanical tender packages. Working closely with project delivery and engineering teams, you will provide technical input to ensure the project progresses successfully into execution.Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting mechanical engineering activities across the CHPP scope
- Assisting with final optioneering and design reviews
- Developing and reviewing tender and procurement documentation
- Coordinating with engineering consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
- Managing technical queries and ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Contributing to project planning, risk management and project controls activities
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within mining, resources, heavy industry or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to CHPP, bulk materials handling, processing plants or similar facilities
- Experience supporting projects through design, tendering and early works phases
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
