An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a well-established Tasmanian business on a temporary to permanent basis.

Your new role
This is a diverse and hands-on role where you will support day-to-day finance operations while working closely with an experienced accounting team. The organisation offers a collaborative culture, varied responsibilities and the opportunity to build a long-term career.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations
• Payroll processing, superannuation and payroll tax administration
• BAS preparation support and month-end processing
• Debtor management and cash flow monitoring
• Financial reporting and budget support
• Maintaining accurate employee records and assisting with HR administration
• Project financial administration and reporting
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful,



you will have:
• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Officer or Bookkeeper position
• Strong working knowledge of Xero
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy•
Well-developed organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
• Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills
