Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Risk, you'll take ownership of key enterprise risk, compliance and business continuity frameworks, partnering with senior leaders to enhance organisational resilience and support strategic decision-making.This is far more than a traditional compliance role. You'll have the chance to shape culture, influence leadership conversations and play a critical role in helping the organisation achieve its mission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the ongoing development and enhancement of enterprise risk and compliance frameworks.
- Driving strategic risk reporting and insights for Executive and Board stakeholders.
- Embedding business continuity and resilience practices across the organisation.
- Facilitating enterprise-wide risk workshops, assessments and capability uplift initiatives.
- Overseeing whistle-blower governance and associated compliance obligations.
- Supporting the ongoing optimisation of risk management systems and tools.
- Providing trusted advice on emerging risks, governance, compliance and organisational resilience.
- Building solid relationships with senior stakeholders to strengthen risk maturity and decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded risk professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise risk and compliance initiatives within a large and complex organisation.
- Robust knowledge of enterprise risk management and governance frameworks.
- Experience designing, implementing or improving compliance, risk or business continuity programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Strong Board reporting and governance capability.
- Experience facilitating workshops, delivering training and building risk capability.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications.
- Experience within community services, healthcare, education, government or other purpose-driven organisations will be highly regarded.
