Rostering Officer needed for an ASAP start.

Your new company
Our client is a growing community services organisation providing workforce solutions and support services across the disability, community care and out-of-home care sectors. With a strong focus on quality care, compliance and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Rostering Coordinator to join their team and play a critical role in ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Your new role
Reporting into the operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining complex rosters across disability and community-based care programs. This is a fast-paced position requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining service delivery standards.
Key responsibilities include:

- Building, maintaining and adjusting rosters to ensure appropriate workforce coverage.
- Managing last-minute changes due to staff absences, leave requests and service requirements.
- Allocating staff based on client needs, qualifications, availability and location.
- Ensuring rostering practices comply with award requirements and organisational policies.
- Liaising with operations, finance, compliance and people teams to support workforce planning.
- Monitoring staff compliance, availability, fatigue management and workforce capacity.
- Preparing regular workforce and rostering reports.
- Reviewing labour costs, schedules and roster efficiencies to support operational performance.
- Supporting workforce planning across disability and community care programs.





What you'll need to succeed

- Previous experience in a Rostering Coordinator, Scheduler or Workforce Planning position.
- Experience working within the disability, aged care, home care, community services or out-of-home care sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of the SCHADS Award is essential.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting SCHADS Award conditions, including penalties, allowances, overtime, sleepovers, broken shifts and fatigue management requirements.
- Experience ensuring workforce and rostering compliance within a SCHADS environment.
- Experience using rostering systems such as MYP, ShiftCare, Employment Hero, FlowLogic, Carelink or similar platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Robust problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
