The Opportunity

Fyfe continues to strengthen its Power & Energy capability, creating an opportunity for an experienced Technical Director - Secondary & Protection to play a key leadership role in our growing team.

As a recognised technical authority, you'll provide strategic leadership across complex energy infrastructure projects while helping shape the way we deliver engineering excellence. You'll influence technical standards, guide project outcomes, support client relationships and contribute to the ongoing growth of our Secondary & Protection capability.

This is more than a technical leadership role. You'll have the opportunity to mentor future industry leaders, strengthen our engineering capability, and help drive innovation across projects that support Australia's evolving energy network.

The Impact You'll Have

- Lead and oversee the delivery of Secondary & Protection engineering projects, ensuring high-quality, compliant and innovative outcomes
- Provide senior technical review and approval of design deliverables, supporting successful project performance across quality, schedule and cost objectives
- Shape engineering standards, best practices and sustainable design approaches that deliver long-term value for clients and communities
- Mentor and develop engineers, building capability and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
- Strengthen client relationships, support business development activities and contribute to work-winning opportunities across the energy sector




- Influence business planning, technical strategy and service delivery improvements that support continued growth

What You'll Bring

You'll be a respected engineering leader with deep technical expertise, strong commercial awareness and a passion for developing people.

- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
- 15+ years' experience in substation design and protection systems
- Demonstrated success delivering complex engineering projects within the energy sector
- Strong understanding of technical governance, design assurance and engineering best practice
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence clients and project teams
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and contribute to capability development
- Solid commercial acumen and the ability to balance technical excellence with project performance
