We're on the hunt for dedicated and energetic support workers, passionate about delivering holistic, individual care for our private aged care jobs openings. A positive attitude, consistent professional behaviour, and an understanding of individuals' unique needs are also integral to this role. Ideally, candidates will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support and a current First Aid certificate and have the relevant work experience.

Job Description

As a private aged care worker, you will be providing essential emotional and practical support to our clients. This includes a variety of tasks such as personal care, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and assisting with mobility. Encouraging nutritious eating and exercise, providing both emotional and physical support, and ensuring dignity for all our clients are paramount. Your work will have a real impact on the community, fostering genuine connections and enriching the lives of our private aged care clients.

Duties

- Shopping
- Meal preparation
- Encouragement to eat nutritionally
- Accompany to walk and light exercise

Essential Qualifications

Experience

- Experience in working with the Elderly.
- Having a positive attitude and empathetic nature.
- Being aware of realistic goals and limitations – making sure you understand each person and their strengths, needs, goals, and support needs.
- Consistency and ability to follow through.
- Professional – human, friendly, but not needy or dependent.
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills by not only verbalising communication but by being attentive to what clients have to say too.

Salary / Pay
