Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Advanced Trainee Endocrinology to join our growing on a full time (1.0EFT) fixed term basis until February 2028.
The Endocrinology Advanced Trainee provides specialist endocrinology services across inpatient and outpatient settings at Latrobe Regional Health, while undertaking accredited advanced training towards Fellowship in Endocrinology. Working under the supervision of Consultant Endocrinologists, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting junior medical staff and contributing to clinical education and multidisciplinary care.
This position offers a broad and diverse training experience encompassing inpatient consultations, specialist outpatient clinics, dynamic endocrine testing and participation in General Medicine services, providing an excellent prospect to develop advanced clinical skills within a supportive regional health service.

The role of the Advanced Trainee Endocrinology is to:
- Deliver consultative endocrinology services across inpatient and outpatient settings, providing high-quality patient-centred care under consultant supervision.
- Coordinate and interpret endocrinology dynamic testing and specialised investigations in collaboration with senior medical staff.
- Attend and contribute to specialist outpatient clinics, including Diabetes, General Endocrinology, Antenatal Endocrinology and High-Risk Foot services.
- Provide supervision, support and education to Basic Physician Trainees,
HMOs and medical students in both formal and clinical settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care, effective clinical communication and timely escalation of patient care issues.
- Participate in the General Medicine weekend roster and contribute to the efficient delivery of medical services across the organisation.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and current General Registration with AHPRA.
- Registration with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) as an Advanced Trainee, including successful completion of the Divisional Written and Clinical Examinations.
- Demonstrated clinical competence appropriate to your level of training, with a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience teaching, mentoring or supporting junior doctors and medical students, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- A solid interest in pursuing a career in Endocrinology and/or General Medicine within a regional healthcare setting.
