Reporting to the Managing Director, you will own the delivery of your allocated customer projects from works order through to practical completion, handover and defects close-out. You will be the single point of contact between the client, the builder and our production and site teams. Your job is to keep every project safe, on programme, to specification and at or above the quoted margin. You will have up to 13 production and site installation staff allocated to your projects.
Key responsibilities
- Taking formal handover of won orders from Estimating and confirming the scope, specification, programme, contract terms and margin
- Building and maintaining project programmes, sequenced against both the builder's programme and the workshop's capacity
- Managing the weekly works schedule, carrying out site measures, and obtaining client approval of drawings, submissions and samples
- Owning the project cost report for labour, materials, freight and subcontract spend, and reporting variance monthly
- Identifying, pricing and obtaining written approval for variations before the work is carried out
- Triggering progress claims and milestone invoicing on time, and working within contract terms
- Maintaining live risk registers and making sure inductions, SWMS, permits and site hazard information are in place before work starts
- Managing quality hold points, snagging and defects, and issuing complete handover packs
- Reporting to the MD on programme, cost, margin, risk and forecast completion
- Running close‑out reviews and feeding lessons learned back into the business
About you
- At least 5 years' experience in project management or site supervision, ideally in steel fabrication,
lifts, building products, manufacturing or a related construction workplace
- A proven track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects to programme and budget
- A strong understanding of production processes, lead times and technical specifications in a fabrication or manufacturing setting
- Confidence reading and working within construction contracts, including programme, notice and payment obligations
- Strong skills in cost tracking, margin protection and variation pricing
- A trade, technical or tertiary qualification in construction, project management or engineering, or equivalent experience
- A current White Card and Australian driver's licence
- Working knowledge of WA WHS legislation as it applies to site and workshop work
- Confidence using CRM and ERP systems and Microsoft 365
- An organised, calm and hands‑on style, with excellent communication skills
