About this role

This position is a work-from-home role therefore, there is no need to relocate. We would absolutely love for you to have some understanding of the unique challenges that rural families face.

If you are located rurally and are interested in hybrid approach (some telehealth, and some in-person), we are very open to discussing this, and making the role best suit you!

What's on offer

For the current open role, we are looking for a full time or part time Speech Pathologist.

We have a shortened day on Friday meaning a long-er weekend (yay!)

Work-from-home role

Our Blossom Rural HUB – An amazing resource for all team members that collates internal PD sessions, P&P; (in a modern format!), and how-to guides for teletherapy, resources, assessment, and a range of goals.

Resources required for paediatric assessment and therapy

Our onboarding process has been refined by our therapists and includes:

Daily supervision, for as long as you need after commencing at Blossom Rural. Once you are comfortable, you will engage in weekly supervision.

Plenty of time to navigate the Blossom Rural Hub and practice delivering therapy/assessment via telehealth.

We have formal catch-ups weekly, via ZOOM – including our fortnightly Huddle which has quickly become a favourite!

Constant support, guidance and laughs from our slack channels, where you can get ideas from all our therapists at once!

Roles and responsibilities

You will bring a positive and fun mindset, and contribute to our team culture, every day!

Planning and providing evidence-based (and fun) sessions via teletherapy

Collaborating with the client’s multidisciplinary team (allied health professionals, school teachers, governesses), in rural areas of Australia, to ensure holistic practice is delivered

Develop client-centred goals which are achievable and measurable

Comply with the practice’s policies and procedures to ensure a high quality of record keeping and documenting/reporting

Opportunities to assist with resource, content, and program creation for clients and social media accounts

You will receive a $1000+ PD allowance per year

Requirements

A true passion for support rural kids across Australia

Speech Pathology Qualification

SPA membership or eligibility for membership

Working With Children Check

Skilled Indemnity Insurance & Medicare Provider Number

Demonstrate the ability to have good time management and communication skills

The ability to work within a small team and independently

The interest to provide a crucial Speech Pathology service to rural children via teletherapy
