About the area
Campus Management is responsible for the planning, development, management and operation of UWA's physical estate and infrastructure. Through integrated property, facilities, asset management and maintenance services, the team supports safe, sustainable and high-performing environments for learning, research and campus life.
This role is embedded within UWA's residential communities of UniHall. Working closely with residents, staff, contractors and service providers, you will help ensure that accommodation facilities are safe, well maintained and enhance the overall resident and guest experience.
About the prospect
- Coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance programs across UniHall facilities, ensuring compliance, service quality and asset performance.
- Act as the key liaison between residents, contractors, service providers and Campus Management, driving high-quality facilities management and customer service outcomes and an exceptional residential living experience.
- Monitor building condition, contractor performance,
cleaning services and asset maintenance activities, providing advice on repairs and minor works while identifying opportunities upgrades and continuous improvement.
About you
- Qualification in a relevant trade discipline or equivalent experience and competency in property management or operations, along with a current, valid WA Working with Children card.
- Substantial experience in coordinating building maintenance and services, with demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Ability to support preventive maintenance as a strategy in maintaining University facilities and equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and associated control systems.
- Highly developed communication skills and the ability to interact in a positive manner with the campus community and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Ability to read and interpret Australian Standards, BCA, federal, state and local codes.
