Full Time | $95,000 – $110,000 p.a.
Online Business eSystems is a locally owned business supporting organisations across the Goldfields with office technology, equipment and business solutions. We’re looking for an experiencedSenior Accounts Administrator who can take ownership of our day-to-day financial administration, keep our accounts running smoothly and make sure the numbers are right.
You know there's more to good financial administration than making the numbers balance.
It's understanding what's happening across the business, recognising when something needs attention and having the experience and initiative to do something about it. If you enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and being the person others can rely on, this could be your next move.
This is an opportunity for someone who knows their way around accounts and enjoys having responsibility for their work. You'll have plenty to keep you busy, the autonomy to manage your priorities and the opportunity to contribute your experience to a well-established local business.
The job
Working closely with our Business Operations Manager and CFO, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day accounts administration across the business.
From managing creditors and debtors to reconciliations and monthly financial reporting, you'll make sure our financial processes are accurate, deadlines are met and nothing important gets overlooked.
You'll also work closely with other departments, ensuring information flows between teams and the financial side of the business keeps pace with its operations.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices, payments,
debtor collections and reconciliations.
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records and preparing monthly financial reports.
- Working with other departments to ensure invoicing is completed accurately and on time, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues before they become bigger problems.
The position may also include weekly payroll processing, superannuation, sales commissions and associated HR administration.
A good month isn't simply one where all the invoices have been processed. It's one where accounts are accurate, payments are on time, outstanding debtors are being managed and the financial information is ready when the business needs it.
You
You know your accounts. You've spent enough time working across financial administration to understand how everything connects, and you're comfortable taking responsibility for getting things right.
You're organised, accurate and confident managing competing deadlines. When something doesn't reconcile or information is missing, you don't leave it for someone else to discover. You investigate, ask questions and follow things through.
Just as importantly, you enjoy working with people. You'll be dealing with suppliers, customers, managers and colleagues across the business,
so clear communication and a collaborative approach are essential.
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated senior experience in accounts or financial administration, with strong accounts payable, receivable and reconciliation capabilities.
- Experience preparing monthly financial reports, excellent attention to detail and confidence using accounting software, ERP systems and Excel.
- Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to work independently, manage deadlines and resolve problems.
Experience processing payroll and superannuation would be valuable, as would experience working in a senior accounts position where you've supported colleagues and contributed to improving financial processes.
You don't need to have managed a finance team. We're more interested in your financial administration experience, your ability to take ownership of your work and the confidence to recognise when something needs attention.
Why us
Online Business eSystems is an established local business supporting other businesses across the Goldfields. We understand the importance of reliable service, strong customer relationships and having positive people who know what they're doing.
This is a senior, hands-on position where your experience will be valued and you'll have the prospect to take responsibility for an important part of our business.
You'll work closely with our management team, have the autonomy to organise your work and contribute ideas that help us do things better.
We're offering a salary of $95,000 – $110,000 per annum, depending on your experience and capability.
