The Opportunity:
PLC Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our Transition Program team on a 12-month fixed-term contract commencing Term 1, 2027. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, inclusive learning programs tailored to individual student needs across academic,
social, and living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver NESA Life Skills programs and evidence-based strategies to build literacy, numeracy, and independent living skills.
- Develop and review tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) alongside families and specialists.
- Maintain accurate documentation for the National Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) and meet NESA standards.
- Provide direct instructional support while fostering the social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of neurodiverse students.
- Collaborate with Teachers' Aides, supervise grounds, and participate in co-curricular activities, camps, and school events.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary teaching qualifications with specialist training or postgraduate qualifications in Special Education.
- Demonstrated experience with NESA Life Skills syllabi, NCCD evidence collection, and evidence-based learning strategies for students with disabilities.
- Proven ability to construct effective IEPs and IBPs in collaboration with families and support teams.
- Current NESA registration and NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Youwill be required to support the Christian ethos of the College.
