Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educators

JOIN THE TEACHING TEAM AT KIDZCO PALMWOODS

We’re looking for an Early Childhood Diploma Educator who wants to do things a little differently.

Are you an educator who believes children deserve time, trust, connection and the freedom to be themselves?

Do you love getting down on the floor, following a child’s curiosity, embracing a little mess, exploring nature and seeing where the learning takes you?

Do you want to work somewhere your ideas are heard, your individuality is celebrated and your contribution genuinely matters?

Then we’d love to meet you!

WELCOME TO KIDZCO

Kidzco Early Learning Centre Palmwoods is a passionate, family-focused service in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We are seeking a Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our teaching team.

At Kidzco, we believe great early childhood education starts with excellent relationships — with children, families and one another.

We are proud of our supportive team culture where educators are encouraged to bring their personality, creativity and strengths to their practice.

We value educators who are curious, reflective and willing to think about why we do what we do — not simply follow what has always been done.

Our approach is grounded in:

- Slow pedagogy
- Authentic relationships
- Nature and loose parts play
- Child-led learning
- Respectful, responsive practice
- RIE-inspired caregiving and environments

We want children to have the time and space to explore their ideas, take appropriate risks, solve problems, develop independence and build confidence in their own abilities.

And we want our educators to have that same opportunity to grow, explore and develop their own practice.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who understands that children don't need us to constantly entertain them — they need educators who are present, observant, responsive and genuinely interested in their thinking.

You understand that learning happens through play, relationships, routines, rituals and everyday moments.

You see yourself as a learner alongside children and are comfortable reflecting on your practice, asking questions and contributing ideas.

You will bring:

- Confidence and enthusiasm for loose parts, nature play and respectful slow pedagogy
- A genuine belief in child-led learning , allowing children time to explore, investigate and revisit ideas
- The ability to create engaging, inclusive and thoughtfully considered environments

- An understanding of children's development, play schemas and individual learning needs
- The ability to develop responsive curriculum based on children's interests, ideas, strengths and goals
- Experience documenting children's learning and contributing to meaningful programming
- Strong relationships with children, families and fellow educators
- A respectful and responsive approach to supporting children's social and emotional development
- A willingness to share ideas and contribute to collaborative team discussions
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of teamwork
- Confidence to mentor and support fellow educators
- Professionalism, reliability and a proactive approach
- A strong understanding of child protection and child-safe practices
- A commitment to continued professional growth

Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely enjoys being with children.

OUR ENVIRONMENTS

Our learning environments are an important part of our pedagogy.

We provide spaces that invite children to move, explore, create, investigate, connect and wonder.

From natural outdoor spaces and loose parts to our Bush Kindy environment, we encourage educators to look beyond traditional resources and consider what children can discover when given time, freedom and open-ended materials.

We believe the environment can be a teacher too — and we want educators who are excited to contribute to that thinking.

OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY

At Kidzco, child safety is part of our everyday culture.

We are committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, secure, respected, included, heard and valued.

We expect every educator, staff member and volunteer to actively contribute to a culture of care, professionalism, accountability and child safety.

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect and expect all team members to understand and uphold their responsibilities for protecting children from harm.

~Think.
~Question.
~Create.
~Connect.
~Explore.
~Grow.
And have a little fun along the way…

Then Kidzco might be exactly where you belong.

We are looking for educators who want to be part of something meaningful — a team that supports one another, values individuality and genuinely cares about the children and families we work alongside.
