OVERVIEW Australis Business School is seeking a Student Administration and Support Officer to join its campus-based team in Coburg, Melbourne. This role supports students across the full student lifecycle, including admissions, enrolment, course changes, student enquiries, academic administration, and completion processes. The position involves close collaboration with the Dean, academic staff, and administration team to ensure accurate student records, responsive support services, and compliance with Australian higher education and international student requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to student enquiries in person, by phone, and by email
- Support admissions and enrolment processes for prospective and current students
- Process student lifecycle requests including deferrals, withdrawals, leave of absence, course changes, transcripts, and related administration matters
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation in the Student Management System (Meshed)
- Work with PRISMS and support international student administration, including CoE-related processes
- Assist the Dean and academic staff with student follow-up, progress matters, and administrative support

Requirements
- Support orientation activities, class administration, timetables, student documentation, and completion processes
- Assist with general campus and student administration within a small team setting
- Ensure records and processes are completed accurately and in line with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience within an Australian higher education provider or RTO
- Experience working directly with international students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using a Student Management System
- Meshed experience is highly regarded
- Experience with PRISMS and international student administration is highly regarded
- Knowledge of the National Code, CRICOS, and student administration requirements is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when managing student records and documentation
- Confidence handling face-to-face student interactions and managing a range of enquiries professionally
- Ability to manage competing priorities, apply sound judgement, and elevate issues appropriately
- Experience using Canvas or another LMS is useful but not essential
- Tertiary qualification is desirable, although relevant experience is considered more important WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student administration professionals play a key role in supporting student success, compliance, and the overall student experience within higher education institutions.
