About the role

Consult & Secure is an established electronic security company based in Wangara, delivering CCTV, access control, intruder detection, intercom and integrated security solutions across large commercial projects.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operational delivery of the business.

This is a key management position working directly with our Managing Director. You will oversee our projects, service activities, estimating and technical workforce, ensuring jobs are properly planned, resourced, delivered and closed out.

We're not looking for someone who simply manages from behind a desk. We need someone who understands the realities of running technical projects and service work, can make decisions, solve problems and keep multiple jobs moving without everything needing to be escalated to the Managing Director.

What you'll be responsible for

- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of our projects and service department
- Maintaining visibility across all current jobs and ensuring works are progressing as planned
- Coordinating labour and resources across technicians, engineers and apprentices
- Reviewing upcoming workload and identifying resourcing or scheduling issues before they become problems
- Overseeing service and maintenance activities, including outstanding calls and client escalations
- Reviewing and overseeing estimates and quotations
- Reviewing job scopes, labour allowances, equipment requirements and commercial considerations
- Monitoring project performance, labour utilisation and job profitability
- Ensuring completed works are properly tested, documented and closed out
- Providing day-to-day leadership and accountability to the technical team
- Managing operational issues and resolving problems without unnecessary escalation
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors




- Working closely with the Managing Director on larger projects, significant commercial matters and forward planning
- Helping improve systems, processes and overall operational efficiency as the business continues to grow

About you

We're open to candidates who are already working as an Operations Manager, but we're equally interested in experienced Electronic Security Project Managers, Service Managers, Senior Project Engineers or senior industry professionals who are ready to take the next step into operational management.

Ideally, you'll have:

Strong experience within the electronic security industry

Good knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder detection and intercom systems

Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities

Strong estimating and commercial awareness

Experience managing technicians and technical teams

The confidence to hold people accountable while maintaining a positive team environment

Strong client communication and problem-solving skills

An organised and proactive approach

The ability to make decisions and take ownership

A practical understanding of job costing, labour utilisation and project profitability

Australian working rights and the licences required for the position

Experience with platforms such as Gallagher, Inner Range, Hanwha, Genetec and SALTO would be highly regarded.

We offer a competitive remuneration package of $140,000–$160,000 + super + company vehicle/vehicle allowance , depending on experience.
