The Role – Databricks Solution Architect

Location: Australia (Remote and Hybrid Options Available)

We’re looking for aDatabricks Solution Architect to join our elite team of data alchemists. You’ll work withcutting-edge cloud and AI solutions , helping customers architectscalable, high-performance data platforms usingDatabricks on AWS or Azure, .

This role blendsdeep technical expertise, strategic consulting, and hands-on implementation . You’ll design data solutions, mentor teams, and ensure customers extractmaximum value from their Databricks investments .

Your Impact

- Shape the future of AI-driven data platforms – Architect next-gendata lakes, lakehouses, and real-time analytics solutions .
- Lead transformative projects – Guide organisations throughcloud migrations, Databricks deployments, and AI-powered decision-making .
- Enable seamless integrations – Optimise how Databricks connects withthird-party tools, data pipelines, and governance frameworks .
- Be the go-to expert – Advise customers onbest practices, security, cost optimisation, and performance tuning .
- Upskill teams – Conductworkshops, training sessions, and hands-on mentorship to elevate data engineering capabilities.
- Collaborate with the best – Work alongsideDatasmiths’ architects, engineers, and Databricks field teams to drive impactful outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

- 5+ years of experience inBig Data, Cloud, or AI-driven architectures .
- Hands-on expertise withDatabricks, Apache Spark™, Delta Lake, and MLflow .
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or SQL , with a deep understanding ofdata engineering and ELT/ETL pipelines .
- Strong cloud experience withAWS orAzure ,



particularly indata lake architectures and security frameworks .
- Strategic mindset , with experience intechnical consulting, solution architecture, or professional services .
- A passion for AI, automation, and making complex data problems disappear .

Nice to Have

- Databricks Certification (e.g., Databricks Certified Data Engineer, ML Associate, Solutions Architect).
- Experience inhigh-scale real-time streaming architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
- Prior experience inregulatory-heavy industries (Financial Services, Government).
- Knowledge ofAI/ML pipelines andMLOps best practices .
