Children's Services Community Management (CSCM) is committed to creating environments where children feel safe, respected, valued and heard. Child safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we are dedicated to upholding the Child Safe Standards while fostering a culture of wellbeing, inclusion and respect for every child, family and educator.
We are a not-for-profit organisation overseeing one long day care centre and three community preschools. Thornton Child Care and Pre-School Centre is a much-loved part of the local community, welcoming up to 39 children each day. We are proud of our warm, home-like environments, our beautiful natural outdoor spaces and the genuine relationships we build with children, families and one another.
We are seeking a reliable, flexible and enthusiastic Diploma Educator to join our team in a full-time position, working across a variety of shifts.
Our service is also a recipient of the Worker Retention Payment, providing an additional benefit for our educators.

Key responsibilities
- Work in accordance with the National Quality Framework, the ECA Code of Ethics, Child Safe Standards, the service philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Contribute positively as a valued member of the team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement a high-quality curriculum that responds to children's strengths, interests and emerging ideas.
- Document children's learning in meaningful and thoughtful ways.
- Help create and maintain environments that are safe, welcoming, engaging and aesthetically inviting.
- Build positive, professional relationships with children, families and fellow educators that support a strong sense of belonging.
About you
- ACECQA-approved Diploma qualification.
- CHCPRT025 – Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk or equivalent.
- Current ACECQA-approved First Aid Certificate, including asthma and anaphylaxis training.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Food Handling Certificate.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build respectful, cooperative relationships with children, families and colleagues.
