Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking motivated 1st Year Panel Beating and Spray Painting Apprentices to join one of our host employers in Eagle Farm, QLD.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in the automotive collision repair industry, working alongside experienced tradespeople while gaining practical skills in a professional workshop environment.

Whether you're interested in repairing damaged vehicles or learning how to prepare and refinish vehicle surfaces, these apprenticeships provide the opportunity to earn while you learn and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

No previous automotive experience is required. We're looking for individuals with a genuine interest in the industry, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Apprenticeships Available

Panel Beating Apprenticeship

Complete your AUR32120 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology while learning how to repair, restore and replace damaged vehicle panels and body components.

Spray Painting Apprenticeship

Complete your AUR32420 Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology while developing practical skills in vehicle preparation, colour matching, paint application and automotive refinishing.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on your chosen trade, you'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of automotive collision repair tasks.

Panel Beating

Working alongside qualified panel beaters, you'll learn to:

- Inspect vehicles and identify body damage.

- Remove, repair and replace damaged vehicle panels.

- Assist with straightening and realigning vehicle body components.

- Use specialist panel beating tools and equipment.

- Assist with minor and major collision repairs.

- Prepare repaired panels for refinishing.

- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

- Maintain a clean and organised workshop.

Spray Painting

Working alongside qualified automotive spray painters, you'll learn to:

- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting and refinishing.

- Sand, mask and prime vehicle panels.

- Assist with mixing and matching automotive paint colours.

- Apply base coats, clear coats and refinishing products.

- Use professional spray-painting equipment and spray booths.

- Inspect painted surfaces and assist with final detailing.

- Follow safe procedures when handling paints and chemicals.

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

About You





We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ready to learn a trade and build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

- A genuine interest in panel beating, spray painting or automotive collision repair.

- An interest in cars and working with your hands.

- A willingness to learn new skills and take direction.

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Good attention to detail and pride in your work.

- A reliable and professional approach to work.

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Good communication and time management skills.

- A commitment to workplace health and safety.

- A current driver's licence (P1 or above preferred).

- The ability to reliably travel to Eagle Farm, QLD.

No previous automotive experience or Certificate II is required. We're looking for candidates who demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to develop their skills.
