Hospitality Assistant – Corporate Services
Monday to Friday | Daytime Hours | $70,000–$80,000 package
A rare hospitality role for someone who loves the standards of the industry, but could happily live without Saturday nights.
We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Assistant to join a highly professional corporate environment in Canberra. This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position providing premium hospitality and food and beverage service to staff, clients and guests.
The environment is polished but not stuffy. Service needs to be warm, discreet and highly professional. You will work as part of a supportive corporate services team, but we are particularly interested in someone who doesn't need to be constantly told what to do.
The role
Your day will be varied and may include:
- Preparing high-quality barista coffee and other beverages
- Setting up and servicing meeting rooms, boardrooms and client functions
- Providing professional food and beverage service
- Assisting with corporate lunches, meetings and events
- Maintaining presentation standards across hospitality and client areas
- Preparing rooms and hospitality requirements ahead of scheduled meetings
- Clearing, resetting and maintaining service areas
- Anticipating what needs to be done rather than waiting to be asked
- Working closely with the broader corporate services team
About you
You will have at least two years' hospitality experience, ideally within a quality restaurant, hotel, premium café,
events, private club or corporate environment.
Most importantly, you will bring:
- Strong barista skills and confidence producing consistently good coffee
- A polished and professional presentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Discretion when working around clients and confidential conversations
- Initiative and the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- A calm, organised approach when priorities change
- Pride in service and presentation
- A willingness to help wherever required
This isn't a role for someone who needs a checklist for every task. We are looking for someone who notices that a room needs resetting, a client needs assistance or tomorrow's function needs preparing, and gets on with it.
Why consider it?
The biggest difference is the lifestyle.
Monday to Friday. Daytime hours. No regular nights. No weekends.
You can stay in hospitality, use the skills you've built and work to a high service standard, without organising your life around a restaurant roster.
You'll also be joining a professional, well-resourced workplace with excellent facilities, solid systems and a supportive team.
Salary package: $70,000–$80,000 including superannuation, depending on experience.
If you're an experienced hospitality professional looking for a more sustainable working week without giving up quality service, we'd like to hear from you.
