Chef | Full-Time | Private College inside University of Sydney

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our catering team within a welcoming educational college environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys working autonomously while also being part of a tight-knit, collaborative team. You will play an important role in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for our college community, with a strong focus on consistency, presentation and dietary requirements.

About the Role:

Working as part of the college catering team, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of a varied range of meals while maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, safety and service.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing and presenting high-quality meals to a consistent standard
- Managing and catering for a range of dietary requirements and food allergies
- Following established menus, recipes and food safety procedures
- Ensuring consistency in meal preparation, portioning and presentation
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and kitchen organisation
- Working independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
- Assisting with stock management,



ordering and minimising food waste where required
- Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen

About You:

- Experienced in a professional kitchen environment
- Confident working autonomously and making sound decisions
- A robust team player who enjoys working collaboratively
- Organised, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Passionate about quality, consistency and fresh food
- Knowledgeable about dietary requirements, food allergies and safe food handling
- Professional, approachable and committed to providing a high standard of service
