About the Role:

Join Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and their families. Working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, risk management and community follow-up support to young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns following presentation to The Canberra Hospital Emergency Department or discharge from an inpatient facility.

In this role, you will deliver recovery-focused care, develop safety plans in partnership with consumers, families and carers, and work collaboratively with GPs, nominated persons and other service providers to support positive outcomes. You will also participate in professional development, clinical supervision, quality improvement activities and broader CAMHS service delivery.

We are looking for a resilient and adaptable clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement skills and is committed to achieving the best outcomes for children, young people and their support networks.

Applicants must have a minimum of three years' post-qualification paid experience in a relevant organisation or service. Experience working with children, young people and mental health services is highly desirable.





The successful applicant must be willing to work across all CAMHS program areas as required and participate in a five-day rotating roster.

A merit pool may be established from this recruitment process and will remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill similar roles/ future vacant positions at the same level across CHS.

Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.

Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.

Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
