Key responsibilities:
- Leading policy analysis and advising on how enrolment policy settings should be reflected in the online platform, including identifying, scoping and prioritising system enhancements in partnership with IMTD.
- Developing high quality communications, guidance and training materials for regions and schools to ensure accuracy and alignment with broader departmental policies, strategies and change processes.
- Managing the enrolment policy related list of enhancements, including developing policy positions, coordinating stakeholder engagement and supporting successful delivery.
- Leading stakeholder engagement across the department to represent enrolment policy, including preparing high-level project briefings, presentations and communications for internal and external audiences.

About the Division
The School Provision and Establishment Division leads strategic oversight of programs and services that have a strong interface between the Schools and Regional Services Group and the Victorian School Building Authority. The division's key functions include planning to meet Victoria's growing student population, end-to-end support for establishing recent schools, meeting the compliance requirements for school registration, and ensuring equitable enrolment policies.
About the role
This is a fixed term, full time role till 31-DEC-2027.
The Project Manager will play a central role in delivering an initiative that translates enrolment policy to digital platforms used by schools and families.
As part of the Enrolment Policy Team, the Project Manager will work across central office, regions and the Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD), ensuring alignment between policy, system design and implementation. The role will be responsible for translating strategic direction into project deliverables, gathering feedback from regions and schools, supporting governance, and providing high-quality advice to senior executives and decision-makers.
Key responsibilities include:
• Representing enrolment policy and processes in the roll out of digital platforms for schools and families, including to support system refinements.
• Leading the development and delivery of project plans,
workstreams and implementation approaches to support system-wide change.
• Collaborating with regional, central and other stakeholders to facilitate practical implementation of policy and process.
• Managing project timelines and risks, and providing regular advice and reporting to executive sponsors.
• Leading stakeholder engagement across the Department, including preparing high-level project briefings, presentations and communications for internal and external audiences.
• Providing policy and operational advice to ensure systems reflect legislative requirements and support schools effectively.
• Preparing and reviewing communications to ensure alignment with broader departmental policies, strategies and change processes.
• Refining business processes, policy artefacts and system functionality in preparation for future phases of rollout.
