Senior Structural Engineer 2XM Recruit is currently working with a well-established engineering consultancy that is looking to add an experienced Structural Engineer to its Perth team.
This is an opportunity for a motivated engineer to join a busy project environment and gain exposure to a broad range of structural engineering work. The position would suit someone with 5–7 years' experience who is ready to build on their existing technical skills while taking on greater involvement across project delivery.

The Role You will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, contributing to the delivery of structural solutions across a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop structural concepts and detailed designs for a range of building and infrastructure projects.
- Complete structural calculations, assessments and technical design work for steel and concrete structures.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including drawings, reports and specifications.
- Apply relevant Australian Standards and engineering principles throughout the design process.
- Use industry-standard structural analysis and design software to assess and develop structural solutions.
- Work closely with internal engineering and drafting teams to coordinate design deliverables.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders as required.
- Provide engineering support throughout construction and assist with resolving technical issues that arise on site.
- Contribute to design reviews, project meetings and technical discussions.
- Manage allocated tasks and projects while maintaining quality, accuracy and agreed project deadlines.
- Take ownership of your work and contribute ideas to improve project outcomes and delivery.
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring:
- A relevant Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Approximately 5–7 years' experience in structural engineering.
- Practical experience with steel and concrete structural design.
- Experience working with structural engineering analysis/design software such as Space Gass, RAPT, ETABS or similar.
- A sound understanding of Australian structural design practices and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in developing technically and progressing your career.
