As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Tool Repair Technician to join our Principal Service Centre in Roselands.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical and fault-finding skills who is looking for a stable, permanent position within a growing Australian business.
About the Role:
Based at our Roselands Principal Service Centre, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing a broad range of power tools, petrol-powered equipment and small engines.
This is a hands-on workshop position suited to someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and getting equipment back into working order.
Your regular hours will be 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend or public holiday work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs on power tools and petrol-powered equipment
- Disassemble tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults
- Repair and service small petrol engines and mechanical components
- Use testing equipment to accurately diagnose faults
- Refer to technical manuals and manufacturer specifications to identify replacement parts
- Reassemble and test equipment to ensure repairs meet required standards
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and job records
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Follow Sydney Tools' workplace health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience:
We are interested in hearing from candidates with experience as a Tool Repair Technician, Service Technician, Small Engine Mechanic, Mechanical Technician or in a similar hands-on technical role.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing mechanical equipment
- Experience with power tools and/or petrol-powered equipment
- Exposure to equipment such as compressors, generators, motorcycle engines, small engines and 2-stroke / 4-stroke landscaping equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- A commitment to workplace safety
