MARS Recruitment is partnering with an established global financial services organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant into their Sydney finance team.

This is a broad role with an APAC focus, providing exposure across multiple entities and jurisdictions within a complex international finance setting.

The Role:

- Preparation of monthly financial and management reporting
- Month-end close, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and review of financial statements
- Supporting statutory reporting and external audit requirements
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring reporting accuracy
- Supporting regulatory and compliance-related reporting where required
- Working closely with finance and wider business stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting

About You:

- Previous audit or Financial Accounting experience,



ideally within financial services or another complex corporate environment
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting
- Experience across month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident - sponsorship is not available for this position
