The Association currently operates four schools in southern Tasmania. Each school has a Principal who is responsible for the educational leadership and management of the school.
A Board of Directors, through the CEO, governs the affairs of Christian Schools Tasmania. The Board is committed to operating in ways that utilise the strengths of being one Association, whilst recognising that each school in unique, and is led by the Principal appointed to that school. The Board expresses this commitment by establishing overarching guidelines or policies that guide the operational leadership of the Executive members.
About the Role
The role of the Family Accounts Officer is to perform accounts receivable administration and debtor management functions.
This is a part-time position for 3 days each week.

About you
The Family Accounts Officer will:
- Be committed and active in their relationship with Jesus Christ and expresses that relationship in appropriate Christian community. The expression of that faith will be consistent with Christian Schools Tasmania’s Statement of Faith.
- Have the knowledge and ability to meet the Work Requirements as listed in the Position Description.
- In particular, be able to deal with debtor families in a supportive yet firm way, demonstrating perceptiveness, insight and life skills, and responding in a calm manner to people who may be stressed.
- Have time and work management skills that ensure workload is managed and deadlines met according to agreed priorities.
- Show attention to detail and application of techniques to ensure data accuracy.
- Be comfortable working with various computer software packages, including desktop publishing, spreadsheets and database applications, and learning and applying current functionality.
- Desire to contribute to and promote a harmonious and cooperative team environment.
- Have an attitude of good customer service.
- Be flexible and hold a positive attitude towards change.
- Be able to appropriately handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Have good verbal and written communication / interpersonal skills.
Skills and experience

Essential Criteria
- Capacity for efficient and accurate data entry from documents.
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Excel, advanced skill in Microsoft Word, and a high level of keyboard skills.
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
Desirable Criteria
- Hold certificate qualifications in business administration or similar.
- Administration experience in a school environment.
- Debtor management experience.
- Experience with Synergetic.
