IAM / Okta Consultant

We are partnering with a leading Australian financial services organisation to engage an experienced IAM / Okta Consultant for an initial 3-month contract. This role will support a key identity transformation initiative, focused on expanding and optimising the organisation's identity and access management capabilities across a growing SaaS environment.

Working closely with security, infrastructure, application and business stakeholders, you will play a hands-on role in delivering secure and scalable identity solutions using Okta, while helping to automate and streamline onboarding processes through Infrastructure as Code practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the onboarding and integration of SaaS applications into the Okta platform.
- Configure and administer Okta identity services, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management and provisioning workflows.
- Design and implement IAM solutions aligned to security and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain Terraform code to automate identity infrastructure and configuration management.




- Partner with application owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements and drive successful integrations.
- Assess and improve identity governance, access controls and user lifecycle processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues across applications and platforms.
- Provide guidance and best-practice recommendations on IAM and Okta capabilities.
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation activities to ensure ongoing operational success.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience delivering Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Okta, including SaaS application integrations.
- Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and user provisioning solutions.
- Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Understanding of identity governance, access management and security best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive outcomes within a fast-paced environment.
