We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a team responsible for assembling, maintaining and repairing mechanical components and machinery. This is a hands on role, ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and thrives in a rapid paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and fitting of mechanical components and equipment
- Interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
- Conducting quality checks and ensuring adherence to safety standards
- Collaborating with other team members and supervisors to meet deadlines
- Keeping work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free
About You:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Proven experience in a workshop or similar mechanical setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Overhead Crane ticket (desirable, not essential)
