About Duchesne College

Duchesne College is a residential college for women located at The University of Queensland. Grounded in the Catholic Sacred Heart tradition, the College provides a safe, supportive and intellectually vibrant community where students live and study while pursuing their university education. Students come from across Australia and internationally, including many from rural and regional communities, to live, grow and flourish during their university years.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Student Life, the Admissions Officer manages the full student admissions lifecycle from enquiry and recruitment engagement through to application processing, offers, enrolment and commencement. The role ensures a professional and welcoming experience for prospective students and their families while supporting the College's enrolment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage admissions enquiries, applications, interviews, offers and enrolments

- Coordinate admissions communications and applicant engagement

- Maintain accurate student records and admissions data

- Coordinate student recruitment activities and campus tours

- Build relationships with schools, careers advisers and community partners

- Support scholarship and bursary administration

- Monitor application trends and prepare admissions reports





- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and student onboarding activities.

About You

You will be an organised and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience in admissions, enrolment management, student recruitment or administration

- Strong organisational and project coordination skills

- Experience working with databases or student management system

- High-level Microsoft 365 skills

- The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and external stakeholders

- A commitment to supporting student wellbeing and the values of Duchesne College

- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Blue Card.
