About the Role
The People and Engagement Administration officer provides practical, high-quality support across people, engagement and payroll functions, working in partnership with leaders, employees and Corporate Services. The role supports the delivery of core people processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle activities, OHS support, payroll processing support contributing to effective use of HR systems and engagement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with industrial instruments, legislation and organisational policies.
Position Context
The role operates in a collaborative environment, providing day to day people support to leaders and employees and contributing to a positive, respectful and engaged workplace culture. The position partners closely with Corporate Services through payroll and supports the consistent application of people processes,
systems and practices across the organisation. The role is integral to ensuring responsive service delivery, effective engagement with the Leadership Team, and alignment between people practices, safety obligations and organisational priorities.
Key Selection Criteria
The following criteria must be met and addressed in applications for consideration for this position:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience providing practical support across people and engagement functions, including recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and sensitively with employees, leaders and internal stakeholders.
- Experience using HRIS to maintain records, support reporting and ensure data integrity.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
